I agree to protect all the mangos. Long live mangos. Anybody who hasn't eaten a good mango has so many morality to comment, only those love mangos understand the hard work to protect them 😅❤️❤️❤️
Well said! Just yesterday afternoon, after I had protected the mangoes, my wife called me and said an iguana was by the mango tree inching his way closer. When I looked, he was looking at the two closest mangoes, but they were protected, so he couldn’t figure out what to do. Of course, I ran him, and he jumped into the lake, swimming to the other side. I have my eye on that tree. Lol!
If you’re talking about the Seymour Avenue house, I imagine it was full of mangoes. That’s wonderful to have you confirm my Imagining. Julie was always my favorite, but I always love a good Bombay. And now I love the Indian mango called Malika.
Yes. The back of Seymour Ave house was full of mango trees but other trees as well, a plum tree, cherry tree, (adored those red cherries), fig, soursop, the scarlet & juicy Otaheite apples, breadfruit, star apples, to name a but few!! Enjoy your mangoes Dale, making my mouth water x
I grow Glenn, which is the one I’m protecting now, Malika, which is a sweet orange flavored Mango from India, and on another tree that was not bearing over many years, I grafted super Alfonso, which is another Indian mango. That one has not born either. 😒
It seems to me that most mangos are from the east. From India eastward.
Is me! I’m the author always begging for mangoes. But to be fair to Dale, while he may not share his hard grown mangoes with me, he always brings the most delicious mangoes that I end up standing over my kitchen sink in my nightgown making the most unseemly noises and I enjoy them.
Yes, we bring mangoes from Hidden Acres Mango Farm, the one I mentioned in the post. I’m not sure I know of anyone who loves a mango more than my friend Lynda. 🥭😁

I remember Blackie mangoes, number 11, Bombay, East Indian, Julie, all in our grandparents garden, lovely!! Think Bombay was my favourite

Thanks for that extra info.
What variety do you grow? And do you know if all our American hemisphere mangoes originated from Asia?

Mango season, the most wonderful time of the year! 🥭
I don't have a tree, but I feel your pain. May the odds be ever in your favour in your war, Dale
Thank you. 🥭😁
